Abortion doctors – are they right? Joseph Mengele was?

Mengele did what he did on fully-developed human beings, with thoughts and feelings and lives and spouses and children and that were capable of living independent lives. Abortion is performed on a mass of undifferentiated cells that has no thoughts, no feelings, no developed “body,” no working nervous system, and that is not guaranteed to ever be a human being. If you can’t see the difference, then perhaps you should consider yourself a murderer for killing millions of skin cells every day, for expelling live epithelial cells along with your urine and feces, and consider those doctors that remove tumors, warts, skin cancer, and anything else as evil as Mengele…because those things are all just as “alive” as an embryo during the first trimester. They’re not by any definition “baby humans.” They’re *potentially* baby humans. So are your sperm cells or eggs in ovaries… Peace.

OMG a doctor performing a legal procedure? You can’t just take any operation you disagree with, and compare it to Mengele. I could say “I can’t see any difference between Mengele and heart surgeons” and it would make just as much sense. Look, abortion is never the ideal solution, I’m the first to accept that. It is a result of a failure of responsibility on various parties. I feel it should be much harder to get an abortion than it currently is, and I think the authorities should do more to educate people about sex. But in certain situations it is the best solution, such as when the mother’s life is in danger, or when the mother is very young, or a victim of incest or rape. It should not be seen as a handy “undo” button, I agree, but I think it is a grey area rather than something you should have an absolute opposition against.
