After uninstalling, why are file types Ive locked with File Type Doctor still locked?
Any file types you’ve locked with File Type Doctor will remain locked until you unlock them, even if you uninstall Creative Element Power Tools or the software expires. File type locks are very difficult to remove without File Type Doctor (which is rather the point), so make sure you unlock any locked file types on your PC before you remove the software. For your convenience, the uninstall tool that comes with Creative Element Power Tools (versions 2.9.900 and later) includes an option to remove all file type locks. If you’ve already uninstalled the software, but failed to place a checkmark next to the Remove file type locks option (or you evaluated an earlier version of the software), you’ll have to reinstall the latest version of Creative Element Power Tools on your PC, and then uninstall to remove all the locks.
