nope you will not receive any benefit,as your partner earns so much, ( i was on maternity pay 90% for first 6wks and then 50% I went back to work early as I couldnt afford not to) I work full time I only earn £13,000 per year (my partner looks after our son as he lost his job just after he was born as he had to help me through PND) he is not entitled to anything coz of my wage!! and the only benefit we get is £350 a month made up of working tax and child tax credits and obviously £78 approx a month of child benefit, so we need to pay full rent and all the rest of the bills with the little amount of money we have, its a struggle but we get by!

sorry unfortunately unless you live in a very expensive are ,you have no help at all,you can receive working tax credits which you can access how much on Ireland revenue website. I’m sure you have no right to income support ,maybe after you access you working tax credit you have a reduction on council tax and some (i don’t think much unfortunately) on your rent. the reason why i say this is ,my sister was earning £16000 before deductions ,she has a baby boy and asked for council and housing benefit and she wasn’t entitled to nothing at all apart from around £200 of working tax credits 9which you will be entitled too) hope i helped good luck sorry i forgot to say something, you can apply for working tax credits before baby is born and when you receive you entitlement letter you can request a Sure Start Maternity Grant: £500.00 see this website http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP

with your partner working over 40 hours you won’t be able to claim income support, You may be entitled to jobseekers allowance but you may want to check if you are eligable for a maternity allowance (more money and not means tested) either that or incapacity benefit. I’m not sure about housing benefit you may have to speak to job centre about that also, Have a look at the website that details some of the benefits you can get www.jobcentreplus.gov.

no you wont get income support. your partner will have to keep you. You will get child tax credit and he may get working tax credit. You will probably be entitled to some housing benefit but how much depends on your local council, you have to apply directly to them, also possibly council tax rebate but not certain depends on his wage for that one! gin&tonic its not fair to tar everyone who replied “favorably” as a scrounger :o( i only know anything about it because my husband left me and my 2 kids just before xmas last year (went off with a teenager) taking every penny we had. I had to give up work because of childcare issues and to be honest i fell to bits. Im working again happily and things have sorted themselves out- my ex did me the biggest favour in my life!

Yes, the assistance will be based on your partners income which (at least in Washington) qualifies you and your partner to apply for section 8 or food stamps (qwest card is what they call them now) but it will take time, long waiting list
