Ive never been scared to die. To me it is as natural as being born, and, in my sometimes quirky way of thinking, I have often thought a man or a womans death should be a greater celebration than a childs birth. We should treasure what each one does in a lifetime on earth, no matter how meaningful or seemingly insignificant their particular journey may well have been. When the marvelous actor Paul Newman died last month I couldnt forget the great line from the movie Hud that goes something like, It happens to dogs, horses, and to men; nobody gets out alive. So I guess Ive always been a little flippant about the whole thing, but, then again, I have not fully died yet, either.
