Anyone know what is ovulation?
Ovulation is the time in a women’s cycle each month when the egg erupts from her ovary. Once that egg has been released (ovulation) it only lives for between 12-24 hours. So, to get pregnant, you have to make sure there is sperm there waiting to fertilise the egg. Sperm can live for a few days, so even if you have sex 2-3 days before ovulation, you can still get pregnant. You can start charting your cycles (try Fertility Friend website) and that will tell you WHEN you ovulated but cannot predict WHEN you will, as you will know you have ovulated based on your temperatures, by a dip in your temperature, followed by a sharp rise which stays the same for the rest of the cycle (the ‘luteal phase’ of your cycle, which is from ovulation until your next period). It stays high until your period comes, or if it goes beyond when you expect your period (18 days of high temps since ovulation) then chances are you’re pregnant. You can start charting, and there are other symptoms to look out for arou
