I recently had to stop and laugh at a new product I saw. One of the large fruit companies had a large display offering pre-sliced apples. I had to chuckle at that. How lazy are Americans getting if we pay extra to purchase presliced apples? This seems ridiculous to me. It just follows the trend though of “baby carrots” which are actually just regular carrots cut down to size and beautified through a chemical treatment (ewww). Soon Americans may not even recognize fruit and vegetables in their natural state. Grocery stores make huge profits off the “busy” lives of Americans. People will pay much more for a large bowl of prepared fruit salad to serve at a party rather than slice and dice their own fruits to make a more frugal bowl of fresh fruit to serve. Frankly, again I think that is ridiculous and unsanitary to boot. I prefer to prepare my own fruit salads. I like knowing the fruit is fresh, was prepared in a sanitary environment, and was touched by me only during the preparation proc
