Are appraisals required when loans are submitted?
In compliance with the recently mandated HVCC, all appraisals must be ordered and paid for by Empire of America. Once underwriting is completed and a CLA is obtained, the appropriate appraisal product will be ordered from an appraiser on Empire of America’s approved appraiser list. Payment for the appraisal must be recieved from the borrower in the form of borrower’s personal check or money order or by completing Empire’s Credit Card Authorization form, prior to the appraisal order.
