Are conferences, symposiums and workshops reimbursable?
Under this program, conferences, symposiums and workshops are not reimbursable unless embedded in a required course. I am thinking of joining the Reg Force, but I heard that if a accept any ER – P Res, upon transfer to the Reg Force, I will not be able to receive any Recruiting Allowance if one is offered at the time I transfer. CBI 205.525 para 9 (b) addresses this issue. The amount of the Recruiting Allowance to which you may be entitled is reduced by the amount of assistance you have previously received.
