Are Energy Efficient Light Bulbs Eco-friendly?
Energy efficient bulbs rule modern life. They are the choice of best informed people who want to do their bit to save energy and resources of the planet. But WWF Canada’s campaign questions whether modern day energy efficient light bulbs are truly environmentally viable. The resources needed to make a light bulb and the pollution due to very manufacturing process do suggest otherwise. The television campaign uses miniature models to create a real process of manufacturing a light bulb. The print campaign discusses whether mere switching to energy efficient light bulb is enough to protect energy and environment for the future. This is one of the most informative campaigns about true crisis we face today. Much more need to done than by making informed choices of products we use every day. We need to look at bigger picture and make a total shift to energy efficient and eco friendly way of life.
