Are fish and chips still served in a newspaper wrapping in England?

I am a former chef from Canada and travelled to the UK once a year, and as Kyle said they stopped many years ago doing it directly in newspaper, as there now recycling the old or odd runs, and to answer the second lady’s comment about ink being toxic, all newspapers now use the vegetable based inks, and it is a gotten more expensive, years ago the newspapers would toss the odd runs and/or give them away to fish and chip shops, fish mongers and vegetable stalls to wrap things in, but now it is just to expensive to throw away, most Chippy’s in the UK use newsprint the same type of paper that is used for newspapers, and then either a cardboard box or plasticized paper to keep the grease form staining.
