Are Havanese easy to train?
The Havanese is a very smart breed. They can be easily trained, if done so correctly. Bad habits are very hard to break in the Havanese. Far too often, new owners let their puppies run free and do not teach any commands or rules. Finally, the puppy is out of control and the owners are frustrated so they decide to train the dog. At this point training is normally very difficult. Again, this is like with any child. If a puppy is given free reign, it knows no rules and will do whatever / wherever. It is best to begin training your puppy the day it arrives in your home.
