Are incremental backups supported?
Yes. Depending on the type of file you are backing up, Exchange-SQL Backup includes the ability to backup using 7 different backup types, including ZIP and incremental. You can use the Exchange backup wizard to backup both on the full database and mailbox level. This will allow you to restore just one user’s mailbox should an individual disaster strike. This will save time over restoring the entire Exchange database. • Can I compress the backup files? Yes. If you have a large file, we recommend you enable compression and set a percentage. This will minimize the amount of time required to transfer it offsite, although the more you compress it, the longer the ESBackup process will take. We recommend monitoring it periodically to ensure optimal performance. • Can I backup remote machines? A: Yes.
