The results were overwhelmingly positive. As noted in the official USACE report, a 65-foot-long, 3-foot-high section of Metalith H2O barriers were subjected to 40 hours of wave action totaling approximately 72,000 waves. The Metalith H2O proved able to withstand this severe testing with minimal, easily repairable damage. Total sand loss proved to be inconsequential.
