Are Orca Whales and Killer Whales the same thing?
Yep, orcas and killer whales are the same thing. Calling them orcas is actually better scientifically speaking, as orcas are actually members of the dolphin family. And as for the killer part, they were given this moniker because people used to think they were as aggressive towards humans as sharks…now they have largely found to be peaceful, although as we have learned recently, they can still be very dangerous.
