Are PGP 2.6.x, PGP 5.x and higher, and GNU Privacy Guard interoperable?

0

By and large, all PGP 2.x, 5.x and GPGs kan interoperate if: • Only RSA keys are used, of at most 2048 bits length, • MD5 is used as hash algorithm • IDEA is used for the symmetrical algorithm. For GNU Privacy Guard, this usually means that you need to add the IDEA module as detailed in the GPG FAQ. RSA support is included by default as of version 1.0.3. Newer GPG versions include a –pgp2 option to restrict the output to things that PGP 2.x understands.
