Are replacement parts available?
Yes, all dVault units feature replaceable package-drop doors, access doors, locking mechanisms, etc. This is particularly important to the homeowner or contractor who has installed a unit in a pillar or wall, or has veneered the unit with brick, stone, stucco or like materials. Replacement parts may be easily installed without disturbing the installation structure or decorative materials. Back to top > What is galvannealed steel? Galvannealed steel is a carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on both sides by the continuous hot dipped process. Immediately as the strip exits the coating bath, the zinc coating is subjected to an in-line heat treatment that converts the entire coating to a zinc-iron alloy. After post painting with proper selected primers and paints, the combined paint/galvannealed coating offers excellent resistance to peeling, blistering of the paint in addition to long lasting corrosion resistance compared with conventional galvanized sheet.
Unfortunately there are no direct Tara replacement parts available, Southern Fan Co has been out of business for 15+ years, however there are a number of standard parts that are adaptable. Blade arms: No other blade arms have been made in the same pattern or design as the Tara fan, however the hole spacing is not unique and matches the blade arm of any Casablanca fan, as well as various others. Some home centers offer one-size-fits-all blade arms that would also work. Note that the hole spacing is slightly larger than the standard size of most import fans and so the most generic replacement blade arm will not work. Blades: Same as for the blade arms, except the design is not quite as specific. If finding the exact same shape is not crucial, both Casablanca and Hunter blades should fit, in addition to many others.
