Are snowballs different from snow cones?
YES! Snow cones use crushed, not shaved ice. The ice is usually crushed ahead of time and sometimes packed by hand. Flavor tends to run to bottom of cup instead of sticking to finely shaven ice. Snowballs are made from finely shaved filtered ice that is shaved when you order, ensuring its light and fluffy texture. The ice goes directly from the block ice shaver to your cup and each snow flake is enveloped by the flavor of your choice. There are over 150 flavors available for snowballs..
