All the historic cars (non-PCCs) are completely authentic in both their origins and their paint schemes. Each is maintained in as close to original condition as possible, consistent with operational safety and the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. As far as we are aware, no operating transit system in the world can come close to the diversity of Muni’s vintage rail fleet.
