Are there any assurances that contracts will continue from one year to the next, assuming that quality standards are met?
A. The term of districts’ agreements with private providers or local Head Start agencies will be one year. Districts must notify any private provider or local Head Start agency, the Department of Education (Division of Early Childhood Education), and the Department of Children and Families (Office of Licensing) in writing on or before May 1 of each contract year of its intent to renew or not renew the preschool program contract for an additional one-year term.
