Are there any atheists who believe in the reality of a fourth dimension?

Actually since a lot of modern mathematicians and scientists are atheists and have proposed theories of space that involve higher order dimensions, I think, we can safely say yes. However, I’m not sure any of them would say we perceive this space in any physical way. Durational sense, in the sense of time passing, was actual proposed by an atheist, Einstein, as the fourth dimension. If you mean “durational sense” as some type of mystical sense, some type of sense beyond the normal senses, I’m sure there is some atheist somewhere that believes in this type of mystical nonsense. Atheists only share a common principle of non-belief in a God and greatly vary on all their other principles, beliefs, and values. Some atheists, Stalin being a good example, believed in the mystical nonsense that was and is Marxism. So yes there are atheists who believe in every type of higher order dimensions. Add: Let’s assume, like you do, that time exists in it’s entirely, it still isn’t an argument against

Perhaps everything that will happen has already happened and it’s our animal minds/motion that make us believe time is some continuous forward moving thing instead of discreet bundles of moments. Or quantum mechanics may be a ‘get out of fate free’ card. “What we will “evolve into” is ALREADY THERE. In a room we haven’t gotten to yet but it’s still THERE!! Who MADE that “product”? I mean, if it’s already there?” Nobody made it–it would have just already happened. That’s like going back in time and saying who made the dinosaurs. Why are you imposing agency of a being. It’s an unwarranted assumption. If you’re just asking about more dimensions besides time — no, I don’t believe in them. If they find evidence for them with the Large Hadron Collider then I will have to, but they don’t make any sense to me, and I can’t even visualize them.

What does being an atheist have anything to do with belief (or not) in additional dimensions? Atheism, by its very definition has to do with a lack of belief in god and that is it. It implies NOTHING else about a person or a person’s belief systems, least of all their scientific beliefs. If, on the other hand, this is a set-up for some point about god, then just go ahead and make it and don’ be so disingenuous as to couch it as a seemingly innocent question about something else. That said, “duration” is a measurement of time and we already know time can indeed be thought of as a 4th, non-spatial dimension. So…yes. In a “durational” sense, I accept (not “believe”) that time can be thought of in terms of being a 4th, non-spatial dimension of the universe. Also, what does “higher dimension” mean? What makes one dimension “higher” than another? EDIT: “But in the same way that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd dimensions exist in their entirety, does the line of time ALSO exist in it’s entirety?” Ther
