If you are applying to the Technical Communication Certificate you must have successfully completed Concepts and Practice of Technical Communication and Technical Writing and Editing. If you are applying to the Editing Certificate it is recommended, though not required, that you complete Editors and Editing: An Introduction. Please see the descriptions of each certificate for a complete list of course prerequisites. In addition, you should have excellent writing and communication skills and good word processing and computer skills. If you are taking courses online, you will need access to a computer with an internet connection and must have experience using an internet browser.
