Are there any patient populations that Albany Med FLIGHT will not fly?

In general, there are no patients that Albany Med FLIGHT will not fly. Transport of prisoners and combative patients are considered on a case by case basis. In either case, the prisoner or combative patient must be adequately restrained or controlled before being placed in the helicopter for safety reasons. This may require that the patient is placed under chemical paralysis and an ETT is inserted to assure that the patient will not pose a safety threat.
