You shouldn’t receive massage if you are suffering from fever, any infectious disease, highly metastic forms of cancer, are intoxicated or have any undiagnosed skin problems. When you arrive for your massage, you will fill out a client intake and give a brief medical history. You will be asked to list any conditions, illnesses, surgeries and medications you are taking. This will help the therapist assess what treatment is right for you and what precaution to take. The treatment will be adapted to suit the client’s needs and concerns. Remember, our massage therapists do not diagnose. If you are unsure about any health issues, please consult your physician. There are certain health considerations that will require a doctor’s written consent in order for a client to receive any treatment at Keep In Touch.
