Since the adoption of Law 16-95 on Foreign Investment, which creates an attractive legal framework to foreign investors in order to promote the flow of capitals to the country, there are no restrictions to foreign investment in the Dominican Republic. This law sets forth the principle of equal treatment between national and foreign investments, abolishing most of the existing prohibitions and restrictions.
