Are there enough mortician/ funeral director jobs in Texas, in particular San Antonio?
You’ll have to work for someone else for years before you can be a Funeral Director. Otherwise there are lots of jobs for morticians. A guy wrote a book about his life as a mortician. He recommended that you start in a tiny town where you are the only mortician. Then you will automatically be the Funeral Director because you own the business. If you are successful, you will have no problem moving to the big city and working. He said that his life in a small town in North Dakota was very satisfying. Lots of people came to him with problems and he got very good at solving them. What to do if your father leaves you out of his will without telling you beforehand?
