Nasal-spray flu vaccine (sometimes called LAIV for “live attenuated influenza vaccine) is not currently approved for use in pregnant women. This vaccine is made with live, weakened flu virus. Pregnant women should get the inactivated vaccine which is approved for use in pregnant women.
