Are there problems with attending school with a central line?
It is perfectly safe for a child to return to school with a central line. In fact, most students get back to a normal school routine easily. With a few simple precautions, the student and the staff can become comfortable with the central line and return to the business of school life. Can this student participate in physical education and sports? Normal physical activity is encouraged for this student with some limitations. Contact sports such as soccer, volleyball, football, and baseball usually are not a good idea because a direct blow to the area of the central line can damage it and also be very painful.
