Are there projects similar to the Kamusi Project for other African languages?
We are pleased to have served as the model for two projects: Kasahorow, a popular dictionary of the Akan language group, and the Edeyede Project Internet Living Yoruba Dictionary, at Georgia Southern University (currently offline). Other than the Akan project, the Yoruba project and our Swahili project, we know of no other projects of this kind for any language in the world. However, we are currently getting underway with PALDO, the Pan-African Living Dictionary Online, which will eventually link multiple African languages in a single dictionary, available through this website. If you are interested in working seriously on a PALDO component for your language, please contact us.
