A1: Yes. We suggest the Siliconrax-Sliger C479 family of computer cases for use with most StreamStor configurations. This is a 19″ rack mount drawer that has a 14.75 inch “undedicated” drive bay. Most computer cases force you to mount 1″ high 3-1/2″ disk drives into half-height 5-1/4″ slots, thus wasting precious space. The Sliger case has four “tracks” that the disk drive mounting screws connect through, allowing the drives to slide together as closely as possible. This drive bay can mount not only StreamStor drives, but also the standard computer components such as a floppy drive, CD-ROM, and system disk drive. The area behind the disk drives houses the computer motherboard and power supply. There is sufficient forced air ventilation to support the high density drive packaging.
