Are veggie burgers good?

There are many different kinds of veggie burgers. Some are soy-based. Some are vegetable-based. Some are legume-based. Some have lots of bell peppers in them, and some are made with lots of mushrooms. You can buy them from a regular store–Morningstar Farms, Boca, and Quorn are major brands–or from a specialty health food store, and you can even make them yourself.

These chickpea burgers are pretty easy and very tasty: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/001567.html

Personally, I’m excited to try these tofu burgers: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/tofu-burgers-recipe.html

Boca burgers (soy) are good, and taste like meat. Gardenburgers (I don’t think they’re soy) are good (but have cheese in them), but they don’t taste like meat. Both you can usually find at your local supermarket, but they’re expensive. They both are at Costco, however, and that’s much cheaper. There are different varieties at Trader Joes and Whole Foods you can buy, but I don’t know the names. There’s also Quorn (not soy), which I think is a fungus or some such thing. I personally have never tried that.
