Are white fillings worser than silver fillings?
White, or resin fillings are bonded in place and are hardened with the help of an ultra violet light. They are not as strong as silver fillings, not do they last as long, however, they are good and are being placed more and more often. Silver fillings are kept in place by adding retentive grooves so that the filling has something to anchor it in place. They can last as long as you have your teeth. They are perfectly safe to place in your teeth.
