I think Dave Ramey, in the Christian West, describes it as the Powedered Butt Syndrome. No matter what you achieve in life, you will still be consdidered an incompetent child to your parents, even if your achievements have contributed far more to humanity than theirs. In my case, my parents think that money defines everything. And the less work you have to do to get money is the basis on how you are respected in the family. I think that is is an atrocity that is no more than socially acceptable theft, but I’ve worked hard for what I have, raised myself. My parents are welfare junkies who are still ashamed to be seen with me in public…and the greatest Irony of that is that they frequent a restaurant that I designed, and despite that fact, they still act like they deny I had anything to do with that building. For the most part, I call it agism. They think they know more, even if they never put thier years of life experience to any functional use.

It all depends on ambitions of parents & expectation which they keep for us…in today’s generations it is necessary to keep our targets & walk along with the world….so it is hardly possible for me to keep up with their ambition & expectation.
