Are zombies possible?
I love zombie stuff! As I’ve gotten older I’ve decided that rotting is cool. Yup. As far as the *actual* walking dead, I don’t think it’s possible. Which gives me a sad. =( Something that will mess you up mentally and make you randomly attack people and attempt to dine on them – sure, we got stuff like that now, mostly in the form of various mental illnesses. Pretty rare, but it does happen. Richard Trenton Chase (the Vampire Killer of Sacramento) comes to mind, as does Renfield Syndrome, a type of mental illness named after a character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The foaming at the mouth thing with rabies is called hydrophobia. It doesn’t happen with every case, btw. With hydrophobia, the afflicted creature is unable to swallow effectively, if at all, and that’s why they appear to be foaming at the mouth. Rabies is casued by a virus called Rhabdovirus.
