Aren’t Lift-Off Valve tails just isolation valves?

A. No. The difference between an isolation valve and the technically advanced Lift-Off Valve is that Lift-Off Valves are designed for removing radiators from the wall, with the water sealed inside, whilst not restricting water flow when the radiator is in use. Isolation valves won’t let you do this.
