If you mean that property owners are concerned that these homeless folks will one day grab the right and title to the land they’re occupying, no, that’s not an issue. Here’s why: in order to own land in Georgia, you need to pay taxes on it. So let’s say that for twenty years, you have paid taxes on land you don’t own. You could then seek title to that land. Since our clients aren’t paying taxes on the land they occupy, they cannot seek ownership of the land.
