At the end of 2008, I will have completed all of the requirements of my program except for the WIL (Co-op/PSP) component. Am I able to transition to the three year degree and graduate in 2009?

Yes. Any student who at the end of 2008 would have completed their entire current four year program, without having completed the WIL component, can elect to be transitioned into the new three year degree for 2009. They would then be able to apply to graduate from the three year degree once the degree becomes active on 1 January 2009. Students who elect to do this must bear in mind that they will not be able to attend the December 2008 graduation ceremony at Telstra Dome. They must either wait until the 2009 Telstra Dome graduation ceremony, or elect to attend a 2009 offshore ceremony or graduate in absentia. Whilst waiting to graduate, students can apply for and be issued a Statement of Academic Completion (SAC) to verify that they have met the requirements of the program. A SAC for the new three year degree can only be issued after 1 January 2009 when the degree becomes active.
