Can a DOC become plugged up?

0

This is a rare occurrence, but it can happen with a very “dirty” engine or an engine with low exhaust temperatures. Many older 2-stroke engines produce a lot of particulate matter and may also have low exhaust temperatures that don’t allow the catalyst of the DOC to begin oxidation. Either of these two factors may cause a DOC to become plugged up with particulate.
