Can a Member borrow against the securities deposited as Collateral?

0

Yes. A member can deposit securities to CSGL account of CCIL as per the prescribed procedure, either intra-day or for availing Borrow Limit on next day. CCIL computes the borrowing limit against the securities deposited by members and releases the same to such members immediately during the trading hours or the next day, as the case may be. The limit released against securities deposited intra-day can be availed of during the day itself.
