Can a UK citizen studying a Physiotherapist degree, study part of the course in America?

While I’m not sure what the degree requirements in the UK, in the US it requires a minimum of a master’s degree. However, at this point in time, nearly all PT programs are doctoral in nature (DPT). Programs are a highly structured graduate program usually taking 2-3 years of post-graduate work; and one cannot take a few PT courses here and there…you either do all of the program or none of the program. However, what you can do is to complete your bachelor’s degree in the UK and then come to the US to complete your graduate degree in PT. If you plan on returning to the UK, however, I would check with your national organization to see what the process is for foreign educated therapists. Addendum: Since 2002 all NEW graduates of PT programs in the US were required to have at least a master’s degree. Those who obtained a BS in PT before 2002 were exempt from this clause.
