4 September 2009 9:00 AM, PDT Simon Fuller and Sojin Lee. When it comes to producing pop-culture sensations, Simon Fuller seems to have the Midas touch: he’s the brains behind larger-than-life TV shows (he created the Idol franchise), music acts (he made the Spice Girls), and sports heroes (he represents soccer star David Beckham and tennis player Andy Murray). But one facet of entertainment the British business mogul hasn’t fully explored yet is the Internet frontier—until now. In a joint venture with Net-a-Porter vet Sojin Lee, Fuller is launching Fashionair, a snazzy new Web site devoted to fashion. “Fashion is the face of popular culture,” says Fuller, who has dabbled in clothing collaborations with the Beckhams and with Galaxy dress designer Roland Mouret, who introduced Fuller to Lee.
