Can an owner of a point based timeshare interest rent a reserved vacation accommodation to others?
Yes, owner/members in most point based programs have the ability to rent accommodations that they have reserved in the system for a day, a week or longer period to others. Generally a Guest Confirmation is required for each unit that is to be occupied by others. The process is the same as gifting a week to someone. A member must first secure the desired unit and vacation time at the desired location and then secure a gift certificate in the name of the member’s renter.
