Crystal Residency, most out of station people that come to US consulate stay here. Quality wise it is high price and moderate stay. It is just opposite to the consulate. Use the subway to cross the road you will be there in less than 2 minute. Sometimes you might get complimentary breakfast. Few five star hotels like The Park and Chola Sheraton are closer to the consulate. For mid budget stay go with New Woodlands (http://www.newwoodlands.com/) or Palmgrove (http://www.ballalgrouphotels.com/index.a… they are just 5 minutes drive from the consulate and you can bargain auto rickshaw ride for Rs.30. Single non-AC room costs around Rs.1200 add Rs.400 for a AC room. You can also try Hotel Savera and President (nearly 2 kms from the consulate). Good Luck!
