Can bacterial vaginosis cause cervicitis?
I’m not a medical doctor, but anecdotally, I know that my untreated bacterial vaginosis “caused” cervicitis. I had to get on two very strong antibiotics to treat both problems. I had been taking baths regularly where I’d put in vitamin E oil and Emu oil to help with dry skin and joints. I didn’t realize that taking baths can upset the flora and acidity level in the vagina. Also, I’ve heard that it’s best to use unscented Dove soap; never use liquid soap for cleaning in the vaginal area, as that can cause the bacterial vaginosis to reoccur.
