Can BitWise make direct connections behind a router, or in a small network?

Absolutely! BitWise actually uses two IP addresses, the server’s perception of your IP address, and your PC’s perception of its IP address. What this means is that the server can identify all the clients that have the same external IP (such as behind a common router), and can then pass that information to the other clients behind that same router. This will allow the clients behind that common router to communicate seamlessly with each other, as well as the other BitWise clients. Note that any IP information related to your local network is not disclosed outside of your local network.
