Can cable other than Belden 1120A be used for the communication cable?

Yes, if the substituted cable meets the voltage insulation rating of the application and the cable is approved by local codes for the application. The UL listing on the PSH was obtained with a stipulation that the 600Vac line to line rated Belden 1120A communication cable is used. As the PSH is rated for 480Vac applications, this cable meets the insulation rating requirements for intallations at 480Vac. In applications with lower voltages in the electrical panel (eg 240Vac) a lower voltage rated cable may be substituted (eg 300 Vac) providing that local electrical codes, regulations and safety issues are all met.
