Can Cyc interact with HTML ?
Yes. There are existing tools to query Cyc and edit knowledge in Cyc that are HTML based. Cyc dynamically generates HTML pages in response to user queries. (See sections [6-1] and [7-2]) Cyc does not yet ‘web-surf’ or access gopher clients to learn about the world by using available Internet resources. Many of these resources are not in a form that Cyc can currently interpret, but Cyc’s builders hope that as its natural language understanding abilities improve it will be able to assimilate knowledge from sources on the Internet.
