Can Duquesne be turned around?
Pitino: I think so. A question is can you get players? I think you can get players here, just because of the city, the new facilities we have and you can recruit to the Atlantic 10. I think we’re moving in the right direction. Q: Did you know what Duquesne was six months ago? Pitino: I didn’t know much. I’m very pleasantly surprised. The campus reminds me of Providence. The fans here want to be good. We had a function [recently] with the season-ticket holders and they’re very into it. I was shocked how nice the facilities are. I’m definitely surprised by Pittsburgh. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but I love it. Q: Why? Pitino: I love it because it’s kind of like a mix of Boston and Providence. I love the passion here. They’re so proud to be from Pittsburgh.
