Can fluid simulations/CFD interface with existing 3D models?

The software we use is a standalone product that uses plug-ins to communicate with various 3D packages. Therefore, we are not limited when it comes to the 3D geometry we can use alongside the Fluid Simulations. We can do fluid/flow for small bodies of water like pipes or drainage right through to large bodies like lakes, rivers and seas. For example, a pipe may be created in the 3D software and then we export this out to the fluid software where we calculate the simulation of water running through the pipe. The result is then transformed into a full 3D scene as per the requirements of the client.
