Can Hamsters Climb vertically?

0

Your hamsters should be able to climb the tubes although if they’re not used to it they’ll need to practice. Our dwarf hamster lives in a Crittertrail 3, which has various long & short vertical tubes. He’d been living in an aquarium @ a rescue & it took awhile before he was exploring all the levels & tubes of his home. Now, he loves it, has no problem climbing & usually climbs to the very top level when he needs a “bathroom.” He also climbs the cage bars to some extent but not nearly as much as mice or rats do. It’s probably best not to adopt more than 2 & also make sure they’ll get along with each other. Girls are usually more compatable than boys.
