I wouldn’t count on it. I travelled with EasyJet to Geneva from London Luton in January this year and wanted to carry my ski-boots on as my hand luggage. They have their own bag no larger than an average ruck-sack. I wasn’t allowed to do this as they said the dimensions of my hand luggage was not permissable as they would’nt fit in the overhead locker (despite the fact i carried them as on-board luggage on another carrier the previous year and stowed them in the overhead locker). Odds are they’ll want you to check in such luggage at an additional cost.
